Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue [34mb]

Based on the smash hit 1999 film Toy Story 2, Disney/Pixar's Action Game: Toy Story 2 -- Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue puts you in the boots of Buzz Lightyear, intergalactic space ranger and pal of Woody, a cowboy doll who is Andy's favorite toy. When Woody is stolen by a toy store owner who wants to sell him to a rich collector in Japan, it's up to Buzz and the rest of the toys to mount a rescue mission and save the day.

Set in five zones with 15 levels overall, this game follows the same overall plot as the film. The action starts in Andy's room as the toys first learn of Woody's disappearance. Once they formulate a rescue plan, it's time for them to leave the house and make their way through the neighborhood and head in the direction of Al's Toy Barn, which is owned by the toy thief. From there they head off to Al's penthouse and then to the airport and a final showdown with the nefarious toy Stinky Pete, who wants Woody to go to Japan with him and the others in Al's collection.

Buzz is assisted by Mr. Potato Head, the piggy bank named Hamm, Slinky Dog, the scaredy cat dinosaur Rex, Bo Peep, Woody's female counterpart Jessie and Sarge, who commands a regiment of green plastic toy soldiers. Buzz has special tasks to perform in each level such as helping Bo Peep find some of her sheep or defeating a boss toy. Successfully completing each task earns some Pizza Planet tokens, which are necessary to gain access to the higher levels.

Buzz also has some accessories to help him along the way, such as a disc launcher which turns his laser arm into a disc shooter and rocket jet boots for reaching high places. To unlock the accessories, though, he must find Mr. Potato Head's missing parts. Sometimes that plastic spud isn't around when Buzz needs him, so you'll have to go find him and come back.

All together now: "To infinity -- and beyond!"

  1. Hey, how do I get this toy story game to work ?

  2. download the .rar file and extract it using "winrar".(you can download winrar from http://www.rarlab.com/download.ht-m). run setup.bat and wait until it is complete. When completed, run setupreg.exe . Now you can play the game using toy2.exe. This looks complicated but is actually as simple as ABC. And thanks for visiting my blog!

    1. Thanks for your reply! I'm happy to see that the people are visiting my blog. I'm sorry for the music, but i had to remove the music to make the size of the game smaller (that's what people want, ripped games! What is the fun of the game if it is ripped off?). Anyways, i'll be re-designing my blog soon. So please keep visiting and downloading, that's what'll keep this blog alive!

    2. Thanks! Now I know not to download it! The music is half the fun and you're explanation absolutely made zero sense.

Of course people want ripped games but what fun is that if there is no BGM to draw yourself in?

My favorite theme is the RC Race Car theme that has swing style music like from Benny Goodman's Sing Sing Sing or should I say Drum Drum Drum?

  4. It says "Unable to enumerate a suitable device." Any suggestions?

    1. Hi there! I googled your problem and came up with this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXo8UqCXJLY
Give it a try. If the problem still persists, post your computer config and Windows version. I'll try to solve it.

  5. My brother and I have been playing this non-stop and have been overcome with waves of nostalgia from playing this (our whole family was really into the game when we were little) so I really must thank you for uploading this. The thing is, is that we got to Stage 12 and we have to beat Emperor Zurg. Zurg moves REALLY fast in this, and rarely comes anywhere near you. We've been trying to at least get 1 hit on him without any luck (using the spin move, the move we're supposed to use). We looked up a couple walkthroughs of people playing Zurg and he seems a lot easier, but in this one he moves away from you exceptionally fast and makes it near impossible to beat him. Well, fully impossible for us. Is this a fault of the rip or is it some other problem? My brother's getting pretty worked up over it (he's young) and I don't know what to tell him. Any way we could get past level 12 without beating it? Or is there an explanation for Zurg's impossible speed? Thanks for the help, REALLY appreciated the upload!

    1. Either the rip is bad or perhaps you have a newer Windows then the game is designed for causing the game to run at twice the speed?

I briefly played my copy I just purchased and some levels the graphics were glitchy especially the attic in the beginning.

  6. Any change you could provide the video clips that were in the game elsewhere? Thanks

  8. Anybody know what this error message means even though I installed the game correctly on my Windows 7?

    First of all.

I got the Toy Story 2 PC CD (Looks like new and they cleaned doing a professional job) at a used game store which I installed it in my Windows 7 just fine *It even has you're favorite theme song while you install!*.

Now here is where the problems begin. I played it without restarting my computer and it worked fine and I bested Andy's House but once I switched my computer off and tried again later this evening to show Dad after work I suddenly get an error saying it can not find a *Validate* file whatever the heck that is!!

Dad and I ran thru the compatibility tab and nothing worked! :(

Dad eventually came to the conclusion that when my computer was restarted it loaded in a file the game cannot find due to Windows 7 naming everything different.

The game is made for 98 and Windows Me which file/folder names were a lot simpler to find.

  9. The good news is the store has a 15 day return policy even on CD's if they don't work so they will take it back and I will either get a refund or store credit for something else I might find.

The store has a very generous return policy.
